Thief Displays Knife During Hold-Up At Nassau Convenience Store: Police

He stole about $300, police say.

HICKSVILLE, NY — A Nassau convenience store was held up by a man with a knife early Tuesday, police said.

According to Nassau County police, the incident took place at 12:32 a.m. at the Bolla Market on Old Country Road in Hicksville. An unknown male demanded money from an employee while displaying a knife, police said.

He then fled the scene in a silver, 4-door sedan with about $300 in proceeds, police said. There were no injuries reported.

The thief is described as a male wearing a black ski mask, a dark-colored, long sleeved shirt, blue jeans and red gloves, police said.

Detectives have asked anyone with information regarding the incident to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
