Van Crashes, Overturns In Nassau; Driver Rescued
Emergency responders had cut a hole in the windshield to rescue the driver, officials say.

HICKSVILLE, NY — A van crashed into a parked van in Hicksville late Monday, trapping the driver.
Around 11:45 p.m. the Hicksville Volunteer Fire Department and Nassau County police rushed to East John Street, near Bay Avenue, for calls that a vehicle had crashed and overturned with person trapped inside.
Heavy Rescue Unit 938 used a glass saw to cut a hole in the windshield and rescue the driver. He was evaluated by emergency responders at the scene.
