Women Smoked Crack With Child In Car In Nassau: Police
Police say the women initially refused to open their car doors for officers on Thursday night.

Two women who were smoking crack with a child in the car were arrested after authorities say they refused to open the car door for officers on Thursday night in Carle Place.
According to authorities, police approached a parked vehicle in the Denny's parking lot, located at 371 Old Country Road, and saw the two women to be smoking what appeared to be crack cocaine while a 4-year-old girl was seated in the vehicle at 10:50 p.m.

Officers approached the vehicle and asked the women to open the doors, but the refused, police say. The officers were eventually able to open the doors and place Erica M Anderson, 34, and Kristen O’Hara, 29, both of Patchogue, under arrest. The child was released to a family member.
Anderson was charged with four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, obstructing governmental administration and endangering the welfare of a child. O’Hara was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, eight counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest, endangering the welfare of a child, obstructing governmental administration and criminal possession of marijuana.

They will be arraigned on Friday at First District Court in Hempstead.
