4 Accused of Selling Alcohol to Minors

Huntington Station, Greenlawn stores tested.

Four people were arrested Friday night on charges of selling alcohol to minors.

Suffolk County police said a volunteer under the age of 21 and working with the police purchased alcohol at four businesses.

Charged with first-degree unlawfully dealing with a child were:

  • Jose Rodriguez, 61, employed by Brothers Deli, 243 Broadway, Greenlawn
  •  Naseem Mohammed, 30, employed by One Stop Deli, 223 Broadway, Greenlawn
  • Harish Suthar, 30, employed by 110 Convenience, 215 Route 110, Huntington Station
  • Jose Alveraz, 45, employed by El Triunfo, 1789 New York Ave., Huntington Station 
 All four were each issued a field appearance ticket and are scheduled to appear in First District Court in Central Islip on July 18. The operation was part of an ongoing effort by the Suffolk County Police Department to ensure compliance of laws pertaining to the sale of alcohol.
