'Boundless Energy': Billy, Beau And Benny: Huntington Adoptable Pets Of The Week
Billy, Beau and Benny, 3-month-old lookalike brothers, are rambunctious. "You will never have a dull moment."

HUNTINGTON, NY — Billy, Beau and Benny, 3-month-old lookalike brothers, are the Grateful Paw Cat Shelter's Huntington Pets of the Week.
"Triple trouble or the three musketeers!" said Debbi Larkin, president of the shelter.
The trio is currently in foster care. Billy, Beau and Benny are actually cousins of seven others that have come through the shelter's doors, according to Larkin.

"Hopefully they will be the last of an outdoor colony in Queens as we are working with the
homeowner to trap-neuter-release the remaining adults living there," she said.
Billy, Beau and Benny arrived at the shelter's in-house veterinarian facility right before
Thanksgiving, because Billy had a serious medical issue — a prolapsed rectum — that needed immediate attention, Larkin said. He received it and is recovering nicely with his brothers, Larkin said. He is just coming off "cage rest" but he has been a "handful to control while he was supposed to be resting," Larkin said.

In the particular foster home the three kittens are currently in, each feline starts out in a small space, such as a bathroom, and when they get larger, they are moved to the "official" kitten room in the house, Larkin explained.
"There was quite a bit of hysteria when they were in the bathroom but the foster mom needed to make sure Billy was being monitored in the litter box," Larkin said. "His brother, Benny, decided otherwise. He flexed his long, skinny legs and made a very impressive leap towards the bathroom sink. That initial attempt failed, but you know kittens; if at first you don’t succeed try until your foster mom has a breakdown! So off they all went into the kitten room and out of the bathroom, because the other two brothers thought it was a contest and they tried with the same results."
All of them have boundless energy and definitely need to eat more, Larkin said. However, the foster mom and dad are working on that, she added.
"They eat like it is their, last meal but because of their shenanigans they are burning off
everything they eat," Larkin said.
They love all of the toys and condos in the room and spend hours running around.
"Unfortunately, Beau and Benny love to pick on Billy and they use him for recreational purposes," Larkin said. "And they don’t always want to cuddle with him which can tug at your heartstrings. They love their foster parents BUT they are still learning the ropes and have decided that humans are funny pin cushions."
Beau, with white marks under his chin, is the mushiest, according to Larkin. Benny likes to
sleep on his back.
"Wait until they get into the kitten room with all of the others we have…that should prove to be interesting," Larkin said.

All three have tested negative for FELV and FIV, had their ears and heart checked, received two of their vaccines, tested negative for parasites and are waiting to be neutered.
"Because of the upcoming holidays, they will not be in the shelter until the first week of January and we will be updating everyone on their progress," Larkin said.

The rescue is at 3 Verleye Ave., East Northport, and visiting hours are Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
The shelter is also open from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday nights only for those who cannot make it during the daytime hours.
"If you are looking for that 'rambunctious' kitten who will keep you and your family on their toes, then look no further than these three boys," Larkin said. "We would love to see them either go into a home with another cat/kitten or be adopted as a pair, or if you feel adventurous and have
the room why not take all of them? You will never have a dull moment and will have no personal space ever again."
