Cops: Man Assaulted Outside Restaurant, 110K Miles Car Scam
Here are incidents reported in the Huntington area, according to Suffolk County Police.

Friday, April 27
At 2 p.m., police reported a grand larceny regarding a car scam on Kirkland Drive in Greenlawn. The man purchased a car online that was advertised as having 50,000 miles, but it was found to have more than 110,000 miles.

At 2 a.m., police reported an assault outside Finley’s, located at 43 Green St. in Huntington, where a man was punched and taken to Huntington Hospital for his injuries.

At 12:30 p.m., police reported a grand larceny phone scam in which a man on Revere Drive in Huntington Station received a call from someone claiming to be his granddaughter’s lawyer. The person said the granddaughter was in a car accident and needed money to be sent via Best Buy gift cards. The man sent the card numbers. The call was later determined to be a scam.
Wednesday, May 9
At 6:43 p.m., police reported criminal mischief on 1st Avenue in Huntington Station. Police say the incident was domestic.
