Fire Breaks Out In South Huntington Home Undergoing Renovations
Three firefighters were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
A fire broke out inside a South Huntington home that was undergoing renovations on Saturday afternoon.
According to fire officials, the fire occurred on the first floor of the Alpine Way home around 4 p.m. The Huntington Manor Fire Department responded to the scene and aggressively attacked the fire with assistance from Dix Hills and Greenlawn fire departments.
About 50 firefighters using seven trucks battled the blaze, which was contained within 25 minutes.

Three firefighters were treated at the scene for minor injuries by the Huntington Community First Aid Squad.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Suffolk Police Arson Squad and Huntington Town Fire Marshal.

Units were under the direction of Huntington Manor Chief Mike DePasquale, supported by Assistant Chiefs Jon Hoffmann, Chuck Brady and Jim Glidden. The Melville Fire Department provided standby coverage and Suffolk Fire Rescue Coordinators provided assistance at the scene.
