Golden Dolphin Diner Abruptly Closes

The Golden Dolphin diner in Huntington has abruptly closed its doors as of Wendesday afternoon.
The diner, located at 365 Main St., had its windows closed with "seized" signs posted to the front of the business.
The signs were put up by the Department of State and Finance for nonpayment of taxes, according to The Long Islander.

Owner Theodore Calligeros told Newsday that he owes back taxes. The diner closed on Wednesday afternoon without notice to even longtime employees, the article says.
In 2015, the Golden Dolphin was closed for two months for renovations.
