Heat Wave Prompts Town to Extend Lifeguard Hours
Swim safely later into the day to escape this week's scorching temps.
With Huntington sizzling in the the midst of a heatwave, the Town is extending lifeguard hours so residents can swim safely later in the day.
Lifeguards will be on duty an extra 90 minutes (until 7:30 p.m.) for the rest of the week beginning Monday at Crab Meadow, Centerport and West Neck Beaches.
