The NuHealth Foundation will honor a plastic surgeon at its annual “Heroes in Health Gala” June 27 in Huntington.
Dr. Roger L. Simpson, president of the Long Island Plastic Surgical Group and NuHealth’s chief of plastic and reconstructive surgery and director of the burn center at NUMC, was selected because of his belief in and commitment to giving back to the communities he serves, the foundation said.
“As philanthropy assumes a greater institutional priority and becomes more ingrained in the culture of the NuHealth System, we wanted to recognize and honor leadership that both values and demonstrates corporate social responsibility in its many forms,” said NuHealth System President/CEO, Art Gianelli.
