Huntington Officials Seek Stolen Speeding Radar Sign
The sign was taken off a utility pole on Thursday. It's valued at $2,875.

Officials are looking to find a speeding radar sign that was stolen on Thursday in Huntington.
According to Town Supervisor Chad Lupinacci, the radar driver speed feedback sign, worth $2,875, was stolen from a utility pole on Warner Road.
“These radar feedback signs are an important resource that help keep our roads safe, making drivers aware of how fast they are going, and the data that is collected helps the Town implement traffic safety measures where they are needed most,” Lupinacci said in a statement.

The sign tells drivers how fast they’re going under a “Your Speed” text. There are 12— well, now 11— of these signs at various locations in the Town of Huntington. They are moved around to different roads when there’s a speeding concern.
The Town’s Traffic Safety Division has filed a police report for the stolen sign with the Second Precinct.
