Huntington Police Blotter: Caretaker Steals $4.5K From Patient

ALSO: Wallet stolen from gym locker; and someone punched someone else, causing injuries, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from Feb. 17 through Feb. 23.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Feb. 19: Angela James-Gordon, 52, of the Bronx, while employed as a caretaker, used a victim's debit card to purchase approximately $4,500 worth of gift cards at a Stop & Shop between Feb. 14, 2024, and Nov. 11, 2024, police said. She was arrested and charged with third-degree grand larceny: property value exceeds $3,000.

Incidents

  • Feb. 20: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station at 5:30 p.m. A wallet was stolen from a locker at LA Fitness, police said.
  • Feb. 18: Assault (third-degree) was reported on New York Avenue in Huntington Station at 8:23 p.m. Someone punched someone else, police said. The person suffered injuries that are not life-threatening and was taken to a hospital, police said.
