Huntington Police Blotter: Grand Larceny Arrests At The Home Depot, Dick's Sporting Goods
ALSO: A check was stolen from the mail and altered, police say.
HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from Jan. 20 through Jan. 26.
The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

- Jan. 25: Kevin Joyner, 58, who is without a known residence, stole clothing and a cooler bag valued at more than $1,000 combined from Dick's Sporting Goods in Commack around 7:45 p.m. Jan. 25, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property greater than $1,000.
- Jan. 21: Kani Bilgen, 33, of West Babylon, stole two Milwaukee SDS-Max rotary hammers valued at $1,400 from The Home Depot on New York Avenue in Huntington Station around 5:25 p.m. Jan. 14, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property greater than $1,000 and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
- Jan. 20: Kevin Ruff, 53, of Brentwood, stole merchandise valued at $1,320 from The Home Depot in Commack around 7:50 a.m. Sept. 8, police said. Ruff stole three windows valued at $1,400 from The Home Depot in Commack at 6:50 a.m. Nov. 18, police said. He was arrested and charged with two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property greater than $1,000.
Incidents
- Jan. 23: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on New York Avenue in Huntington at noon. CK Kitchen & Bath Design, Inc. mailed a bank check that someone then stole and altered, police said.
