Huntington Police Blotter: Man Stole $1.8K In Clothes From Macy's

ALSO: Dick's Sporting Goods theft; car stolen; and scammer tricks Huntington Station resident into sending money, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from Jan. 27 through Feb. 2.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Jan. 29: Sanusi Jalloh, 52, of Hempstead, stole $1,800 worth of men's clothing from Macy's in Huntington Station by concealing the clothing in laundry bags around 7:50 p.m. Jan. 24, 2024, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property more than $1,000.
  • Jan. 29: Leon Dunton, 24, of Bellport, stole Nike apparel worth nearly $1,150 from Dick's Sporting Goods in Melville at 2:50 p.m. Nov. 18, 2024, police said. He was arrested and charged with fourth-degree grand larceny: value of property more than $1,000.

Incidents

  • Jan. 30: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on 17th Street in Huntington Station at 10:08 p.m. Someone scammed someone else into sending multiple monetary payments through the internet, police said.
  • Jan. 28: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported in Huntington Station at 7 a.m. Someone stole a black 2003 Honda after the keys were left inside it, police said.
