Huntington Police Blotter: Man Stole 4 Vehicles

ALSO: Man arrested in connection with multiple cocaine sales, police say.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Curious about what's going on in your neighborhood? These are recent incidents reported in the Huntington area from Feb. 10 through Feb. 16.

The Suffolk County Police Department posted the following information. All charges are accusations and do not signify guilt.

  • Feb. 13: Shamel Robinson, 28, of Huntington Station, was accused of stealing four vehicles in Huntington Station between Dec. 31 and Feb. 12, police said. On Dec. 31, Robinson stole a 2016 Nissan Rogue at AutoZone police said. On Jan. 4, he stole a grey 2007 Honda Odyssey, police said. On Jan. 11, he stole a grey 2020 Honda CRV, police said. On Feb. 12, Robinson stole a blue 2016 blue Honda Civic from a parking lot, police said. He was arrested and charged with four counts of third-degree grand larceny: property value exceeds $3,000.
  • Feb. 13: Darian McGee, 51, of Greenlawn, sold cocaine at least four times on Tulip Street in Greenlawn between Jan. 9 and Jan. 30, police said. McGee was found in possession of crack cocaine packaged in a manner consistent with drug sales, along with a digital scale and other drug packaging materials, on Feb. 13, police said. He was arrested and charged with four counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance: narcotic drug, two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance: narcotic drug with intent to sell, and one count of second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

Incidents

  • Feb. 13: Grand larceny (third-degree) was reported on Homestead Path in Huntington at 9:42 p.m. Someone mailed a check that was stolen, police said. The name on the check was washed and changed, police said.
  • Feb. 11: Grand larceny (fourth-degree) was reported on Walt Whitman Road in Huntington Station at 10:10 a.m. Two men wearing sweatsuits with face masks and hoodies entered Williams-Sonoma and stole espresso machines, police said.
