Man Airlifted After Falling 12 Feet Off Ladder In Huntington

A 71-year-old man suffered a severe head injury after he fell about 12 feet from a ladder on Wednesday, June 28 in Huntington.

The Huntington Community First Aid Squad responded to the report of a fall at a Nevinwood Place location at around 1:20 p.m. Responders determined it was necessary to send the injured man to a level one trauma center.

HCFAS transported the man to Maplewood Intermediate School where a Suffolk County Police Department helicopter then flew him to Stony Brook Hospital for treatment.
