Man Stabbed Multiple Times In Huntington Station On Fourth Of July

A man was in critical condition after he was stabbed multiple times in Huntington Station on the Fourth of July, police say.

According to authorities, three men approached the victim at the corner of Fairground Avenue and East 3rd Street and demanded money at 11:54 p.m.

The man attempted to flee but he was caught near East 2nd Street and was stabbed by the men multiple times, police say. The attackers then fled the scene.

The man was transported to Huntington Hospital and was listed in critical condition.

Assistant Commissioner Justin Meyers said the man has received medical care and is now in stable condition.

The investigation is continuing.
