Man Wanted in $36,000 Theft of Watches

Suffolk police report crime at Tourneau shop.

Suffolk County police are seeking a man who stole watches from a store at Walt Whitman Shops.                                                                                                                     Second Squad detectives said the man entered Tourneau on May 19 and stole two Rolex Yacht-Master men’s watches, valued at more than $36,000.

The man asked to see the watches, tried them on and fled the store without paying on May 19 at approximately 5:15 p.m. The man was described as black, in his early 30s, 5 feet 10 inches tall, clean-shaven with short black hair. He was wearing a lime green shirt with a green tie, dark-colored jacket and beige pants.

Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-220-TIPS.  All calls will be kept confidential. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
