Man With Gun Barricades Self In Huntington Station Home [UPDATE]
One person is in custody as of Friday afternoon.

UPDATED at 12:50 p.m.: One person is in custody after authorities responded to an armed man inside of a Huntington Station home on Friday morning, police say.
According to authorities, a man barricaded himself with a gun inside an East 9th Street home at approximately 10 a.m.
The situation has been resolved as of 12:30 p.m. and the person arrested will be taken to a local hospital for evaluation, Suffolk Police told Patch.

Police along with Members of the Hostage Negotiation Team and Emergency Service Section responded to the scene.
East 9th Street was closed between Lenox Road and Depot Road while police responded to the scene.
