Town Flags Flown At Half-Mast In Honor Of Commack Resident
Master Sergeant Christopher Raguso was among seven service members killed in an Iraq helicopter crash on March 15.

All flags at Town of Huntington buildings will be flown at half-mast on Monday in honor of the Commack resident and six others who were killed in a helicopter crash in western Iraq on March 15.
Master Sergeant Christopher Raguso, 37, three other New York National Guard members and three additional service members were killed after a United States military helicopter crashed. That day was supposed to be Raguso's last tour of duty.
"The people in our town are deeply grateful to your loved ones for their sacrifice in the protection of our nation's security," Town Supervisor Chad Lupinacci said in a press release. "On behalf of the Town of Huntington, you have our deepest sympathies and our prayers will be with you and your families at this sad and tragic time."

Raguso was also a member of the Commack Fire Department and FDNY.
Also killed in the crash were Captain Christopher Zanetis of Long Island City, Captain Andreas O'Keeffe of Center Moriches and Staff Sergeant Dashan Briggs of Port Jefferson.

A GoFundMe page is looking to raise funds for Raguso's wife and his two young daughters. Nearly $30,000 has been raised in one day.
