Woman's Wallet Swiped In Huntington Station, Credit Cards Used: Police

A woman distracted an elderly woman at a supermarket while a man stole her wallet from her purse, police say.

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help finding the man and woman who, police said, stole a woman’s wallet and then used her credit cards last month.

A woman distracted an elderly female at ShopRite, at 839 New York Ave., Huntington Station, while a man stole the wallet from her purse that was in a shopping cart around 1:30 p.m. April 13, police said. Credit cards from the wallet were used at Apple and Bloomingdale’s in the Walt Whitman Mall later that day, police said. The man and woman are wanted for grand larceny.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
