33 MPH Winds, High Surf Advisory In Effect Saturday: Weekend Weather

LONG ISLAND, NY — After a string of rainy days, Long Island will once again experience dry, yet sunny skies this weekend.

Thursday will reach a high of near 76 degrees, which will continue through Friday.

A high surf advisory continues to be into effect until Saturday, so if going to the beach, be cautious and beware of dangerous rip tides.

Strong winds are expected on Saturday, with gusts as high as 33mph, as Hurricane Lee travels north in the direction of New England.

Sunday will be the hottest days of the weekend, with a high of near 79 degrees that will continue into Monday.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 77. Breezy, with a northwest wind 17 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 33 mph.
