7 Islip Seniors To Play Collegiate Sports
The student athletes committed to play on the collegiate level for their sport this fall.

ISLIP, NY — Seven student athletes from Islip High School will officially play on the collegiate level this fall.
The seniors signed national letters of intent in a ceremony on April 13th in the school's cafeteria. Administrators and family members joined the students as they officially pledged to play sports at the college of their choice.
The students and their sports include: Kaeli McAnally, who will play both basketball and softball for Mount Saint Mary College in Newburgh; Carmelo Pagan, who is set to play football at SUNY Morrisville; Desiree Pagan, who will join the track team at St. John’s University; Hunter Rindos, who is slated to play lacrosse at Georgian Court University in New Jersey; Amanda Sayles, who will cheer at the University of Delaware; Joseph Urban, who will play baseball for York College of Pennsylvania; and Noah Whitehouse, who will play lacrosse for Wingate University in North Carolina.

“To the athletes and your families, I just want to say thank you for all that you’ve done to keep our athletic programs thriving,” said Athletic Director John Sparacio. “College is a great experience and I wish you all the best of luck.”
