LONG ISLAND, NY — After a week of heavy rainfall and flash flooding, Long Island skies are expected to be dry this week — but with a catch.

Smoke from Canadian wildfires are expected to return on Monday, with widespread haze lasting throughout the week, the National Weather Service said.

The smoke is expected to remain above the surface, resulting in some haze. The National Weather Service has not issued an air quality advisory for Long Island, but all are encouraged to visit AirNow.Gov to check their area's AQI.
