Skies will remain mostly clear from Monday through Thursday, allowing Long Islanders to soak up the last of summer activities.

Monday is the week's hottest day, with a high near 85. Temperatures will drop to the high 70's for the majority of the week.

Rain will make an appearance again on Thursday night, with a 50 percent chance of showers.
