ISLIP, NY — Islip residents have spoken.
The Islip School District's 2023 to 2024 proposed budget of $96,625,851 with a budget-to-budget increase of 5.67 percent spending increase and a 2.04 percent tax levy increase has passed with 752 for yes votes and 273 for no.
For the Board of Education, voters reelected incumbent President Philip Dineen, who received 721 votes and incumbent trustee Laura Rogacki who received 725 votes, both running unopposed.
