First Responders To Be Honored At LI High School
Islip High School is unveiling its First Responder Wall of Honor that recognizes 91 members of fire, police and EMT community.
ISLIP, NY — Islip High School is forever honoring rescue teams with a First Responder Wall of Honor that recognizes 91 members with a commemorative plate listing their names, graduation year and service emblems for fire, police or emergency medical services.
On Tuesday, April 29 at 5:15 p.m., the high school will hold an unveiling ceremony for the commemorative wall and more than 125 people, including the honorees’ guests, are expected to attend.
Each first responder featured on the wall is an Islip High School graduate and has provided honorable service as a first responder with either 10 years or more on the job or a line of duty incident.

Guests will include Islip High School Principal Dr. Lara Gonzalez, Superintendent Dr. Dennis O’Hara, Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter, Islip Fire Department representatives, Suffolk County Police Department 3rd Precinct and the Exchange Ambulance of the Islips.
Islip High School is located at 2508 Union Blvd.
