LI Woman Claims CASH4LIFE Prize Days Before Lottery Ticket Expires
The $1,000 A Week For Life prize was drawn in May 2022.
BAY SHORE, NY — Sometimes, it's worth holding onto old tickets.
Islip resident, Genine Plummer, claimed a $1,000 A Week For Life second prize drawn in the May 26, 2022 CASH4LIFE game on May 18— days before it was set to expire.
On May 11, the New York Lottery alerted players that the ticket was set to expire on May 26, one year after it was drawn.

When the retired Postal Service employee heard this news, she was compelled to check her tickets again. To her delight, she discovered that a ticket she purchased at Shop Rite of Bay Shore, located at 1905 Sunrise Highway in Bay Shore, was the winner.
“I’m just in shock with everything and amazed,” Plummer told the New York Lottery. “I am overwhelmed.”

The winning CASH4LIFE numbers drawn were: 03 -09-33-57-58 Cash Ball 01.
Plummer opted to receive her prize in annual installments of $33,852 after required withholdings, the lottery said.
When asked for any advice for Lottery players, Plummer said, “Keep playing as I did and check your tickets like I did, especially if you have many tickets on hand.”
