Town of Islip Staff Donate Gifts To 60 Salvation Army 'Angels'
"I know that Christmas is going to be very special for each and every one of them (the angels)."

ISLIP, NY — The Town of Islip staff were Santa's special helpers last week, as part of an annual holiday program.
Town employees participated in the Salvation Army Angels program, gifting items from the wish lists of 60 adopted "angels" of all ages.
The toys will be distributed among families and placed under Christmas trees this holiday season.

Supervisor Angie Carpenter thanked the employees at Tuesday's town board meeting, saying how proud she was of their kind actions.
"Having seen the toys as they were piled high in my office, I know that Christmas is going to be very special for each and every one of them (the angels)," she said. "We are so fortunate here in the Town of Islip, to have such incredibly generous employees. It is truly heartwarming to see our office filled with toys, bicycles, scooters and more knowing that children's Christmas wishes will come true this holiday season."
