2 Arrested For Fatal Jackson Heights Shooting, Police Say
A 31-year-old man was killed after being shot multiple times in a Jackson Heights bodega.

JACKSON HEIGHTS, QUEENS — Two men are facing charges in connection with a fatal shooting in a Jackson Heights bodega, police said.
Gamaliel Desiderio-Sanchez, 28, and Fabian Dejesus-Garcia, 28, have been charged with murder and criminal weapon's possession for the March 23 killing of 31-year-old Saferino Flores-Pineda, police said. Desiderio-Sanchez was arrested and charged on March 26 and Dejesus-Garcia was arrested and charged on March 30, police said.
Desiderio-Sanchez and Dejesus-Garcia are accused of shooting Flores-Pineda multiple times in a bodega on Roosevelt Avenue an 81st Street on the night of March 23, police said. Police arrived on the scene of the shooting shortly after 8 p.m. to discover the 31-year-old victim suffering multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.

EMS transported Flores-Pineda to NYC Health and Hospitals Elmhurst where he was pronounced dead, police said.
