It took jurors minutes to convict Steven Torres, 29, on Thursday in the vicious 2013 slashing of a 69-year-old Woodside man.

ELMHURST, QUEENS -- It took just 11 minutes for a jury to convict a Bronx man in the brutal 2013 murder of a 69-year-old Queens man at an Elmhurst train station.
Jurors found Steven Torres, 27, guilty on Thursday of viciously slashing the man to death in broad daylight underneath the 90th Street-Elmhurst Avenue 7 train station, ending a weeklong trial over the years-old case.
Torres viciously attacked and stabbed Ever Orozco repeatedly after the Woodside man drove his wife at a doctor's office and parked near the subway station at around 1 p.m. on Sept. 16, 2013, according to trial testimony.
