Man Arrested, Another Sought In East Elmhurst Shooting: NYPD
Police are searching for the man caught on tape firing off shots that hit two passing cars in East Elmhurst.
EAST ELMHURST, QUEENS -- Police have arrested one Queens man and are searching for another in connection with a gunfire that broke out East Elmhurst in April.
One of the men was caught on tape firing off shots at a group of men outside 26-49 96 St. at around 8:45 p.m. on April 22, police said Wednesday evening. Two cars were hit in the crossfire, but no injuries were reported.
After the man finishes shooting, a second man is shown running up behind him before the two escaped through the building's alleyway toward 97 Street.

Cops arrested the second man, Michael Alexander, three days later. The 38-year-old East Elmhurst man was charged with attempted assault, criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment, conspiracy, menacing and two counts of criminal mischief.
But police are still searching for the gunman. The 25-to-30-year-old man was last seen wearing a blue hoodie, black jeans and black sneakers.
