Man Found Dead On Elmhurst Playground Bench, Police Say

ELMHURST, QUEENS -- A man was found dead in an Elmhurst playground early Monday morning, police said.

Cops are investigating the death of the unidentified man, who was found lying facedown on a bench inside Moore Homestead Playground just after 6 a.m.

The man was found unconscious near the playground's entrance at 82nd Street and Broadway. He showed no obvious signs of trauma or overdose, police said.

Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene. A medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
