Men Firing Off Gunshots Hit Car Window In Queens: NYPD

The two shattered the rear window of a passerby who unknowingly drove into the crossfire, police say.

ELMHURST, QUEENS -- Police are searching for two men who shattered a passerby's window while firing off their guns near the Long Island Expressway in Queens.

The two men began shooting off their guns into the air just before 11 p.m on Saturday on 69th Place near the expressway in Elmhurst, cops said.

When a 41-year-old man unknowingly drove into the crossfire, one of those stray bullets struck the rear passenger window of his car, police said. The man was not injured.

The NYPD released surveillance photos of the two suspects on Monday evening. One wore dark clothing, including a jacket with several patches on it. The other wore a black sweater, blue jeans and black and white sneakers.
