Motorcyclist Dies After Falling Off Bike Near LaGuardia: Police

EAST ELMHURST, NY — A Pennsylvania motorcyclist died after falling off his bike near LaGuardia Airport on Tuesday evening, police said. Thomas Healy, 55, was heading west on the Grand Central Parkway when he fell off the 2011 Harley-Davidson bike and hit the ground, the NYPD said.

Cops found Healy, of Milford, Pennsylvania, with severe head and body trauma on the parkway at 94th Street in East Elmhurst just before 9 p.m., police said.

Medics took him to Elmhurst General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the NYPD. Police say the NYPD's Collision Investigation Squad is investigating the crash.
