Man Attacks 3 Fast Food Employees With A Cane In Corona: NYPD

The man assaulted three Pollo Campero employees in a fight over the fast food chain's soda machine, cops said.

CORONA, QUEENS -- Police are searching for a man who used his cane as a weapon against three fast food employees in Queens during an argument over his use of the eatery's soda machine.

Authorities identified 50-year-old Jose Reyes as the man who attacked three woman with a cane - sending two to the hospital - inside the Pollo Campero restaurant in Corona on June 20.

The assault began at around 6 p.m. after Reyes walked into the fast food spot at 103-26 Ave. and got into a fight with a 46-year-old employee when he tried to use the soda machine, cops said.

He then hit the woman with his cane and used it to whack two other 23-year-old and 28-year-old employees, police said. Reyes allegedly hit all three women in their legs, arms and torsos.

The 46-year-old and 23-year-old women were sent to New York Presbyterian Hospital for their injuries in stable condition, authorities said.

Cops described Reyes as about 5-foot-6 and roughly 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a neon short sleeve shirt, black pants and black shoes.
