Pizza Sam In Jackson Heights Gets Rave Review From Barstool
The Original Pizza Sam on Northern Blvd. got high praise from the blog's founder, Dave Portnoy, on Barstool Pizza Reviews.
JACKSON HEIGHTS, QUEENS — A beloved Jackson Heights pizzeria got high praise from Barstool Pizza Reviews.
The Original Pizza Sam on Northern Blvd. snagged an 8.4/10 rating from Barstool founder Dave Portnoy, who stopped by the 51-year-old Jackson Heights pizzeria Monday.
"When you wake up and see pizza dancing in your brain, it looks like this," Portnoy said before biting into a plain slice.

"8.4, that's a wildly high score," Portnoy told owner Sam Schiralli, son of the original Pizza Sam.
Portnoy reviewed hundreds of pizzerias in the tri-state area to assemble a March Madness pizza bracket, which the sports and pop culture blog released Tuesday. Pizza Sam didn't make it into Barstool's bracket, but Schiralli was still thrilled that "El Presidente" stopped by to try a slice.

"This was good to give me a little boost back up," Schiralli told Portnoy.
"Thank you to everyone for showing so much love, especially my block and my hood for always supporting us!" Schiralli wrote later on Facebook.
