Thieves Rob Queens Phone Stores, Threaten To Stab Employee: NYPD

The group of masked men stole nearly $2,000 in cell phones at knifepoint from two neighboring Jackson Heights stores, police say.

JACKSON HEIGHTS, QUEENS -- Police are searching for a group of masked men believed to have stolen nearly $2,000 worth of cell phones at knifepoint from two neighboring Jackson Heights stores.

Two of the thieves first hit up You and Me Wireless on March 3 at around 9 p.m., jumping over counter of the store at 37-50 74th St. and telling an employee, "Don't scream! I'll stab you," police said.

The duo loaded a $1,000 cell phone into their duffel bag and bolted from the store, fleeing south on 74th Street, cops said.

A third perp joined the two for their next stickup just down the road at ABC Wireless on April 8, police said. Once inside the cellphone store at 37-65 74th St., the trio punched an employee, pulled out a knife and shouted, "Don't move! Don't say anything," police said.

The men stole three cellphones worth $920 before fleeing the store and running east on 37th Road, authorities said.

The NYPD released surveillance footage of the suspects, each of whom was caught on tape wearing black masks and outfits.
