Man Shot Dead Near His Queens Village Home: NYPD
The 65-year-old man was found lying unconscious with a gunshot wound to his head, police say.

QUEENS VILLAGE, QUEENS -- Cops are trying to determine what led to a 65-year-old man being shot dead outside his home in Queens Village on Thursday morning.
Don Gonzalez was shot in the head outside his home on Bardwell Avenue near 209 Place, police said.
Officers found Gonzalez sprawled out on the ground unconscious at around 8:15 a.m. upon responding to a 911 call at his address, authorities said. Medics pronounced him dead on the scene.

What happened leading up to the shooting was unclear, an NYPD spokeswoman said. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
