Hit-And-Run Driver Kills Woman Crossing Jamaica Street, NYPD Says

JAMAICA, QUEENS – A hit-and-run driver killed a woman as she crossed a Jamaica street Tuesday, police said.

Clara Duran-Rodriguez, 70, from Rockville Centre on Long Island, died after being hit on Linden Boulevard at 169th Street at 7 a.m. She was trying to cross in the middle of the block, police said.

The woman was rushed to Jamaica Hospital with head and hip injuries, but doctors were unable to save her, police said.

There is no description of the vehicle or the driver.
