Robbers Make Off With Nothing After Holding Up Queens Home: NYPD

The gun-toting duo bound two of the home's residents with zip ties before inexplicably fleeing the scene empty-handed, cops say.

SOUTH RICHMOND HILL, QUEENS -- Two gunmen broke into a Queens home and tied up its residents in a robbery attempt that ended abruptly when the duo fled the scene empty handed, police said.

Police are searching for the two men who tried to rob the South Richmond home in broad daylight at around noon on Saturday.

The duo entered the house near 123 Street and Liberty Avenue and pulled out guns on its five residents - including two children, cops told Patch. The two then bound two men, 29 and 56 years old, with zip ties before unexplainably fleeing the scene with nothing, cops said.

The NYPD released surveillance photos of the suspects on Monday. Cops described one as a man with a slim build and his partner as a heavyset man.
