3 Things People Want to See Happen in Kings Park

On Thursday, we asked Kings Park Patch Facebook readers to comment on "What do you want to see happen in Kings Park in 2014?"


Here's their wishes for 2014:

• I'd like to see the storefronts on both sides of main st. Totally redone!! (Editor's Note: This comment received 5 likes.)

• I would love to see the Kings Park School District's administration and Board of Education provide a thorough validation as to why they believe diving head first into the Common Core curriculum is developmentally appropriate. Included in their response I would like an explanation as to how there are district funds (tens of thousands of dollars) to pay allocated for copying "modules" (Common Core scripts which don't allow excellent teachers to teach the way they can) but no funds for other things that are necessary?
