Ingenuity and know-how are just some of the characteristics that define Americans and American manufacturing. We thought it would be fun to take a look around town and highlight some of the American made products we found in our local mom and pop shops.
Here are just a few of the items we discovered as we browsed around town. First stop was the undeniably American, St. James General Store. Not only were they decked out in the finest red, white and blue for the holiday, but they stocked many products made in the fifty states and quite a few of those were made here on Long Island.
We also made a pit stop at Elements of Home in St. James, a fun little shop packed with things for the home and things to just make you smile. You can find where these products were made and where we found them as you flip through the photo gallery.
