Crime Report: Kings Park Man Drives Van Through Auto Repair Shop

• A Kings Parks man drove a mini van through garage doors at a Commack auto repair shop that he broke into on July 4, police said. 

Raymond Alfano, 42, found a way into A & R Alignment on Jericho Turnpike through a lower bay window at 4 a.m., grabbed the keys to a 2012 Dodge Caravan, and then drove the van right through the garage doors, according to Suffolk County police.

Alfano was arrested later that morning, at about 10:30 a.m., and charged with third-degree burglary, a felony. Police didn’t say how Alfano was caught.
