Crimes Nearby: Teen Arrested in Bagel Cafe Burglary

Police said they found the man who burglarized a Nesconset Bagel Store last week. Â Â
According to police, Mantas Lukosevicius, 17, broke through the side door of the Bagel Café, located at 248 Smithtown Blvd. on May 27 at approximately 12:30 a.m.
He forced open the office door and stole a large amount of cash, police said. According to police security camera footage showed Lukosevicius then fled on a small purple mountain bike, wearing a black coat, black gloves and a black backpack with a wooden handle sticking out of the backpack. Â Â

Lukosevicius was a part-time employee at the bagel store and was familiar with where cash was kept, police said. Fourth Squad detectives arrested Lukosevicius on a charge of third-degree burglary, a felony, at his Ronkonkoma home Monday at 11:55 p.m.
