Kings Park Couple Saved by Coast Guard

A Kings Park couple and their dog are safe at home after their newly purchased boat sank Saturday night. 

David Grossman and his girlfriend were rescued June 1 by the U.S. Coast Guard after their boat sank roughly 3 miles off  Bay Shore's coast, reports News12.

Grossman said he had recently purchased the 1988 pleasure cruiser from John Vidas Marina in Freeport. He took it out for the first time on Saturday night, when the engine began to smoke and the boat began taking on water.
