Man's Fingers Severed While He Used A Snowblower Outside Port Jefferson Home: Police
The man, 41, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
PORT JEFFERSON, NY — Multiple fingers of a man were severed while he used a snowblower in Port Jefferson on Saturday, Suffolk police said.
Officers were called to a home on East Broadway at around noon by a 911 caller, according to police.
The man, 41, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

His neighbor, Ron Alonso, told News 12 that he was outside shoveling and ran over to help.
"Immediately, his wife came out, and we laid him up out front, and we called the ambulance. There was blood everywhere, and we were looking for his fingers. He lost two fingers," Alonso told the outlet.
