Kings Park Man Struck And Killed Crossing Jericho Turnpike

A Kings Park man was struck by an SUV and killed Wednesday night crossing  Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown.

According to police, Jonathan Czeh, 34, was crossing West Jericho Turnpike at Plymouth Boulevard at roughly 7:09 p.m. when he was struck by a 2004 Ford Expedition driven by Lisa Boyle, 40, of Commack. Czeh was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the call for the accident was received at 7:09 p.m. The accident took place at the intersection near the Mobil gas station, leaving traffic closed westbound.

This is the third pedestrian accident involving a Kings Park resident this month. when she was  hit by a car on St. Johnland Road on Dec. 6. near Magellan Drive. Tully suffered a head injury and was airlifted to Stony Brook Medical Center where he was admitted in stable, but guarded condition.
