Kings Park Man Struck And Killed Crossing Jericho Turnpike

Jonathan Czeh was crossing West Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown when he was struck and killed by an SUV.

A Kings Park man was struck by an SUV and killed Wednesday night crossingΒ  Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown.

According to police,Β Jonathan Czeh, 34, was crossingΒ West JerichoΒ Turnpike at Plymouth Boulevard at roughly 7:09 p.m. when he was struckΒ by a 2004 Ford Expedition driven by Lisa Boyle, 40, ofΒ Commack.Β Czeh was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said the call for the accident was received at 7:09 p.m. The accident took place at the intersection near the Mobil gas station, leaving traffic closed westbound.

This is the third pedestrian accident involving a Kings Park resident this month. when she wasΒ  hit by a car on St. Johnland Road on Dec. 6. near Magellan Drive. Tully suffered a head injury and was airlifted to Stony Brook Medical Center where he was admitted in stable, but guarded condition.
