Kings Park Royalettes Kick Off Strong Second Season
Kickline team places third, narrowly misses March competition.
Just in their second year of competition, the Kings Park Royalette Kickline is already hitting their mark.
The team went to the Long Island Kickline Association competition last month and placed third in the Small Varsity Kick category, an increase of two places from the January competition.
Kickline coach Janice Tabone, who is also a sixth grade math/science teacher in the district, said the girls narrowly missed qualifying for the March championship by one point.

"Despite this, the girls and I were ecstatic due to quality of their performance and due to how tough our competition has been," said Tabone. "I know the girls felt like they left every bit of effort and enthusiasm out on the dance floor and for that we are all very proud."
