KP Grad Enters College Record Books

Nolan Rummel set the 500-meter dash mark at Alfred University recently.

A Kings Park High School grad recently topped a 29-year-old track record at his college and was names their athlete of the week, going on to compete in the Eastern College Athletic Conference championships.

Nolan Rummel, a junior at Alfred University, set the 500-meter dash record at his school with a 1:06.73 time. He went on to run a 1:07.03 at the ECAC championships, finishing ninth at the conference finals.

Dennis Schulz set the school record in 1984 with a time of 1:06.80.
